Hi

After having asthma for about 10 years, but getting more and more short of breath, have just been diagnosed with the above, which I understand is fairly rare in adults. I have been told prognosis isn't great, and that I could be looking to a lung transplant depending on the speed of progression. Am waiting for the hospital to call me to start steroid treatment, which I believe will just be pred, but a higher dose than I have had for previous chest infections, altho it doesn't always respond to steroid treatment. I am very in the dark about this, altho I hope to find out more as I have a call booked with the respiratory nurse tomorrow. Any experience/knowledge of this out there....?

Thx

Cesca
