Hi Sassyj,

Sorry to hear that you have to go to Tribunal. Could you explain a little more about why you're going to Tribunal, and what you hope to achieve? I believe that there are a number of people who have had difficulties with their employers as a result of severe asthma and other health problems, who have been to Tribunal or other similar meetings. I'm sure they'd be happy to offer advice.

Your medication list is quite comprehensive. Are you under the care of a specialist 'difficult asthma' team (e.g at Birmingham Heartlands or the Royal Brompton)?

All the best,

Wishes

Hi Wishes,

Sorry i wasnt very clear, its a DLA tribunal.. I was 'let go' by my last employer as id been taken in to hospital too many times, and they wouldnt keep me on. Im now finding that because i obviously have to tell an employer how bad i can get, that no1 will give me a try..

My mum had to go to one.... It's made up of a lawyer, a doctor and a member of the general public who is either disabled or has experience of disabilities and the effect it has on a person. My mum had to Prove that the department for works and pensions where wrong in the decision they had made with written back up and proof of her claims. We went to an advice adgency also and they got a second opinions We had to submit out evidence prior to the tribunal. At the tribunal a person was from the dwp to state why they declined and to argue their case and to present further questions, they don't always do this ...... Thankfully we had submitted a lot of evidence in our appeal stating why it was wrong .. So On the day the panel decided my mother was entitled to it and awarded it without questioning...... So a lot of preparation work is really helpful. Wishing you the best of luck
