It is with great sadness I read that one of my all time heros has passed away. Oliver Postgate created Bagpuss, The Clangers, Ivor the Engine, Noggin the Nog etc.
R.I.P Oliver and thank you fo the many hours of innocent and charming pleasure you gave me.

Oh thats sad, I too loved all his creations for childrens enertainment. Confess that if I get the opportunity will still watch them today!
Also the Asthma campaign has used Bagpuss as its Charity Pin Badge for several years.
He was a great man and had many great creations as well as Bagpuss... the Clangers and Noggin the Nog.

Watched Charlie Brooks on BBC 4 on tuesday evening, he can be quite rude about tv (Blue Jam thanks for telling me about this guy, think he is great). But even this chappy could not be rude about Oliver Postgate and his many creations, and paid tribute to him, and finally dedicated much of the show to Oliver Postgate. Thank you Mr Charlie Brooks for showing that even a man whose childhood television memories are of the 70's and 80's can be a big softy some of the time.

Kit Kat, your correct he did, I was a bit disappointed with the ending to Dead Set though! Hubby thinks Charlie Brookes was trying to make a statement by making Dead Set ie. That you have to be a Zombie to watch Big Brother!
