Kate (as he wags finger) … I’ll have you know that my wig just aboot fell in my lunchtime soup when I read this thread – LOL.

Do I qualify under the category ‘etc, etc, etc’ - I don’t wear tights, but I have been known to wear Long Johns when it gets a wee bit chilly?. I also wear my lambs wool TOG15 wig to stop the heat escaping from ma follicley challenged heed.

Derek

no derek you dont qualify but that give me a good chuckle!!!

be we could change it to people in uniforms them your imagination can run wild too!!!!!

The green jumsuits on paramedics are awfull colour but the do excenuate a good pert bum!!! shame were usually to out of it too notice!!

Well now there would be a couple of footballers I have the pleasure of watching every other week. Then there are rather nice paramedics and my cute and cuddly crowd Dr in his teletubbie padded jump suit.

Deek, I think we will alow longjohns!

Wigs - have you ever tried a falklands lambs wool wig - the wool out there is soooo soft and pure - there are no scaggy bushes ( brambles, juniper, hawthorn etc) for them to get tangled in - and they are organic - not dipped either!

Kate

PS Ooops, what have i started???

What are you lot like! lol!

I love men in woolly jumpers, they make me go weak at the knees! God job I have a boyfriend who is always cold! roflol!

My cousin's husband is a fireman but I don't think he's that good looking.

Beth

Kate,

Can I redress the dreadful sexist imbalance of this thread by ""bigging up"" power dressing solicitors,WPC,s ,nurses,American football cheerleaders, and women in general-where would we be without you all !!

Bluejam.

Well guys it’s been a wee while since I have sung you a wee song on the camping thread, so I thought I would give Kate a wee treat by singing one of my favourite songs from the 80s sung by Gang of Four. It’s soooooo apt (as pulls on his Phil Oakey 80s wig with long fringe covering one side of face).

I LOVE A MAN IN A UNIFORM

Time with my girl I spent it well

I had to be strong for my woman

(You must be joking, O man you must be joking)

She needed to be protected

The good life was so elusive

Handouts, they got me down

I had to regain my self-respect

So I got into camouflage

The girls they love to see you shoot

I love a man in a uniform

I love a man in a uniform

I love a man in a uniform

I love a man in a uniform

To have ambitions was my ambition

But I had nothing to show for my dreams

Time with my girl I spent it well

(You must be joking, O man you must be joking)

The good life was so elusive

Handouts, they got me down

I had to regain my confidence

So I got into camouflage

The girls they love to see you shoot

I love a man in a uniform

I love a man in a uniform

I love a man in a uniform

I love a man in a uniform

I need an order

(Shoot, shoot)

I need an order

(Shoot, shoot)

I need an order

(Shoot, shoot)

I need an order

(Shoot, shoot)

To have ambition

Was my ambition

Time with my girl I spent it well

(You must be joking, O man you must be joking)

The girls they love to see you shoot

The girls they love to see you shoot

I love a man in a uniform

I love a man in a uniform

I love a man in a uniform

The girls they love to see you shoot

I love a man in a uniform

(They love to see you shoot)

The girls they love to see you shoot

I love a man in a uniform

(They love a... they love a... they love a...)

(They love to see you shoot)

The girls they love to see you shoot

(Bang bang you're dead)

I love a man in a uniform

(They love a... they love a... they love a... bang bang)

The girls they love to see you shoot

I love a man in a uniform

(They love a... they love a... they love a... bang bang)

LOL Derek. Fell for a man in uniform billions of moons ago...

This is my funny story about men in (lycra) shorts or tights!

At my second home (work) whether early morning, late afternoon or evening, I only have to glance out of the window if I need some sort of ‘refresher’ as the campus is always swarming with lycra covered men (and women it has to fair to say, - Bluejam you would be in seventh heaven) -but will concentrate upon the men) – of all ages, but mostly young - and different shapes. It all depends on the sort of sport they practise and train for. So as a general rule, the rugby types are big and have a ‘hard’ muscular appearance, the athletic types are lithe and wiry,( my favourites!) and the swimming types are big but have more rounded musculature if you know what I mean, and they nearly all wear tight lycra clothing. Starting to lose my concentration now………… on this post…….

……Where was I ? Oh yes, so you would think I’m used to seeing all these breathtaking bodies, many of which are honed and trained towards Olympic glory, not to mention regular eye candy for yours truly.

A couple of months ago my office chair had to be repaired and I was given a temporary replacement one which was slightly ‘lower’ than my normal chair. Not a problem until I realised I wasn’t high enough to look out of my window. ( I’m not very tall)

Within a couple of days I started to experience ‘withdrawal’ symptoms. Couldn’t concentrate on my work, felt weak, lacking in ’creative’ ideas ,and a bit ‘jaded’ when doing my teaching lecturing stuff etc. The situation was desperate. Well it was for me. So one darkish early evening night I swapped my temporary chair for someone else’s - she still doesn’t know – same original chair. (But we are all practical jokesters! Keeps us sane!)

And still waiting for ‘repaired ‘ chair. But hey, that’s life in my place of work.

So now restored to full powers of observation and creative thinking etc.

Don’t ever underestimate the power of men in (lycra) tights.

Mia…thinking thoughtfully……..

Men in tights?

That sounds a bit weird........
