A Plea for Common Sense re Off-Topic

Please folks. We already have Medical and General and of Parents & carers for our asthma chats and discussions. If there is an Off-topic bit on the new Web page then may we keep it as mostly non-asthma?

We all need some sunshine in our lives and Off-topic originally gave us that. Jokes and memos and daft stuff. Heartfelt poems too. Yes, asthma is mentioned under Daft Triggers and such but on the whole, the games and jokes and funny rememberings were the thing. Occasional forays into other health matters are ok in moderation.

Just a thought.

I agree toooo!

I ended up not even reading the O/T threads cause it was getting rather monotonous. I get that we all need a place to moan about our lungs but not in every possible thread on every board, PLEASE!

Geina xx

I also agree - that is what the Off-Topic board was created for.

Help is at hand, though, in the shape of our new forum software. We can now move threads between boards, so from this point on, any asthma-related threads that are started in ""Off-topic"" will be moved to the ""General"" board at the first opportunity. We don't want to dictate what people talk about, but we will do some ""housekeeping"" to keep threads in the correct place!

Bumping up as a wee reminder for all

Or to the medical board where appropriate

I posted in off topic by mistake it a new forum and I have not really had a look round my post has thankfully been placed in the right place by a AUK mod I think mistakes happen and as long as get corrected no harm done as it is a Asthma forum so people will talk a lot about Asthma and make the same mistakes I just did
