When you can manage them?

I LOVE to bake. I'm just about to go and ice a cake for a friends birthday. I can only do butter icing though LOL!

I make fudge too which comes out right 3/4 times! A copper bottomed pan can give fantastic results or a disaster!

My hobby revolves around music. I used to play guitar in a local band in West London and I spent many happy and noisy hours at Hammersmith Odeon (now Apollo) watching just about any heavy rock/metal band that played there. Now I can't play guitar any more due to a very nasty wrist injury playing Rugby many years ago. I still go to the occassinal gig the last one being Deep Purple. What I do now is just build up my collection. I have over 600 vinyl albums and probably the same amount of cd's, plus a half decent selection of music dvd's.

Are there any more metalheads out there?

If it's too loud you're too old!!!?

Welcome back, Mrs Plumie! It's great to have you back on the forum - we've missed you!

I'm interested to see how many people already share my interests. Normally I feel a bit of a granny! I knit a lot (mainly baby clothes), but also like cross stitch and scrapbooking. I bake too, and am making my wedding cake for the end of August. So exciting!

I love games, music and drawing.

I also have a (somewhat pricey) model habit. I love Final Fantasy models and collect them. I have about 52 of them dotted around my flat. They are my pride and joy, even if I do wind up spending about 3 hours cleaning them. It is worth it though as there are some rare ones and some that cost more than I would care to admit. Each of them means something to me and they all seem to have a story as to where they came from and the characters themselves.

I do a bit of metal now and then Dave, together with post rock and a few other nerdy music styles. I don't have space for vinyls but do have a few cd's.

I've also got a very nice cool guitar but can't play it. Not because of any accidents though - I just happen to be completely incompetant on it. Wrong sort of fingers I guess!

I know so many people my age who love knitting and 'crafty' things - it seems to have been reclaimed!

Not me though, I'm completely incompetent with that sort of thing. I'm a reading addict (think of it as a necessity, like eating, rather than a hobby). Also do loads of music when I can though not easy atm - singing helps breathing after the initial coughing but can find it hard to get to choir rehearsals, stand up and sing, and cello takes way more energy than I realised - makes me breathless! Oboe I'm not attempting right now, think best not lol - plus it needs fixing. If I manage to get my lungs sorted out and have some spare cash (haha) I'd love to learn the trumpet as it's so versatile - I want to do jazz and classical and you can do both on a trumpet.

I also wish I were better at the piano, though I don't have a piano to play which is a shame.

I love dancing, Even though i cant really do it at the moment due to health, i also love photography, drawing and painting, baton twirling
