Lungwort Complex

Does anyone here have experience of taking Lungwort Complex? I started taking it three weeks ago as i felt i had nothing to lose after months of being so unwell.

I have literally gone from barely being able to get from room to room because of severe breathlessness, and friends and family thinking i was at the end.....to pegging out my washing, gardening, going out here and there etc etc.

I'm like a woman with a new lease on life.....so what's going on?

I do have serious respiratory conditions though it didn't really impact on me much, then an infection floored me, then covid, then more respiratory problems etc etc, i have been unwell for about 18 months or more. But now i feel like i have walked through a door and am physically back to where i was. I can breath easily (which is AMAZING!!) and hardly use my inhaler now?

Could the Lungwort have done this or is it just coincidence....or even the placebo effect?

I know the answer is to stop taking it to see the result but i don't want to go back to where i was just in case it was the magic that worked for me!!

I used to use British supplements but dont like the casing but the product was good . I may just wait for them to come back in stock x

I also am taking BS Lung Wort, just noticed it has 625mg in the ingredients list which is higher than the supplement mentioned here. Is the casing better in Stay Safe?

I don't notice the casing so can't help you there.

I've taken it in the past but it didn't help me, perhaps I wasn't taking the right one, Could you tell me which one you take please.

colourpassion in reply to Jansy16

Hi, the one i take is called Stay Safe Lungwort Complex, i did a lot of reading up before i decided on this one, even though lungwort is only 50mg it is still better than others, plus it also has 80mg mullien which is also a good lung supplement.

I am currently taking British Supplements Lung Wort . I think it is helping my lungs, which are filled with mucous from histamine allergies. Do you find it helps bring up mucous, as the one you take has Mullein I feel I should try that.

Hi Cherwin, i have had problem with over production of mucous for some years, but i have to say i'm still very happy with the results from the Lungwort, most of the time it is hardly noticeable and i'm no longer coughing or being worried or embarrassed when socializing, breathing is so much easier and my lungs actually fill with air again, i'm no longer wheezing etc. I occasionally use Mullein tea too, it's actually very nice with a slice of lemon hot or cold.

Thank you for adding details, I’ve just ordered some 😀. may I ask what inhalers you are on ?

colourpassion in reply to Piper21

I take the standard Ventolin and Trelegy Ellipta which i'm not keen on. My breathing is good enough today that i haven't used them, though in fairness i've only been sat at the computer doing a catch up while it's cloudy up here in the Highlands!

Piper21 profile image

thank you for replying, I’ve just swapped back from Trelegy to Trimbow , not keen either although initially I was. I ordered the lungwort after your post yesterday and they have just arrived with the postie, ( impressive thanks for all your help

Hi , Having read your post & with similar chronic , horrible cough / tsunami of mucous daily ,COPD . I researched via NHS inform/ Google to check no negative side effects / contraindications with Anora / Soprobec . Nothing of concern found.

Found Lungwort , on eBay , £12:49 & free delivery for 90 capsules , no additives , company seem genuine , may be an option .

So hoping some benefit / improvement as you have experienced.

Morning everyone- just a word of warning when purchasing any complimentary or herbal medicines, some may not mix well with your medications so always take care and tell your GP or health care professional you are taking them.

Best wishes

Totally agree, i checked it out with my meds before ordering and i've told my GP and separate respiratory support team.

Previously i was taking CBD oil (CPS, chronic neuro pain) and i went on a Respiratory Rehab program last year, they looked at all the meds i was taking, all prescription except CBD (though it was my GP who recommended it) and they told me i should stop taking it. Shame as i did get a result from it, but consequently it has made me extra cautious before i lay out money on non prescription meds. I guess we are a lot of desperate souls be it pain or breathing probs and we'll easily grasp at something that may help.

it does help clearing airways etc of mucus but it also can have a diuretic effect that can affect potassium levels particularly for anyone with declining kidney function.
