We had the best time possible... We partied on the beach with sausage chips bramley apple pies...cheese chunks and chocolate 🍫.. Stan enjoyed every single bite..
We paddled in the sea and cuddled him all night long ...
Today we visited his favourite place in the forest and had a little mooch and another food festival ..
Our hearts are shattered but we will always have the best memories and he made such a difference to our life by just having him in it ...
He went to his forever sleep very peacefully in the garden ...
We know he's over the rainbow sharing his woosha woosha love with all he meets ...
I'm not sad anymore because I know he's pain free and we made a decision on that ..
Celebrate his time we had with him ... Thankyou everyone for all your beautiful comments they mean so much to me and himself ... sleep well my beautiful best friend ..

I'm in bits, what a wonderful send of, all his favourites foodie bits a swim in one of his best places and being cuddled all night long, what more could you want. Rest in peace little man x
So sorry for your loss. Its so upsetting when we loose a dog. They certainly take a piece of our hearts with them. I remember pre booking our last dog in with the vets to be put to sleep and spent 2 days wondering if I was doing the right thing. Take care. Brian
I knew I was doing the right thing .. it hurt so much to see him decline in a matter of weeks ... the selfish part of me wanted to keep him but we need to move from our feelings to his ...he celebrated life daily and I'm sure he gave us his blessings to set him free 💜
I am so happy you were able to give him a nice final day and do all of his favourite things. What a wonderful way to say goodbye and thank him for all the joy he brought.
Aww happy tears cause that's what he would have wanted...he had a ride in a pushchair when he got tired only the once was enough .. he scowled at me all day and turned his back to me 😂😂😂 that's my boy xx
So pleased you were able to make such wonderful memories of Stan. We took our last dog to Cornwall for a week before making his last journey. It was touch and go whether we went or not but he had the best time digging holes, eating pasties and even flirted with a young lady. Those are the memories you always treasure ❤️❤️
I’m amazed and admire how much you were able to give Stan on his last day, it’s so difficult when have to say goodbye to our lovely pets, well done you can keep those happy memories. I was thinking of you. Jean x

The term woosha woosha love is what i used to say to him when holding him and squishing him ...he didn't seem to mind sharing and spreading his love around he was that kind of friend 💜💜

It is so hard to have to euthanize your best friend, we had to recently take our almost fourteen year old chocolate lab (Charlie) in to the vet, we asked if anything could be done to help him, the vet said no nothing can be done, so he went to sleep, we so do miss him.
Stan was a lucky guy to have so much love and sweetness from you. We will all miss his antics and his soulful expression and I hope you find comfort in knowing you did all you could to give him a happy life. Hugs to you.

In a way I'm happy we made the decision hes not in pain anymore and he had been suffering these last 3 weeks To keep him would have been selfish on our part and it was our duty to him to ensure he didn't suffer ..
We talked at length about him with him ... his eyes told us he had enough and he had a lovely last few days 💕
keep thinking of all the good times shared but----- you have a new friend to look after., I think. Sounds hard hearted but actually best thing to do. I found that when my dog was run over. i was in my teens. My younger sister and i worked together same place . One person said something about our glum faces , we both burst into tears and were sent home ! When we got home mum had been out and we had a new puppy to look after. Oh, very mixed feelings there, but this little dog needed us, and that helped all the family.
Not hard hearted at all Stan needed his rest and peace ..We won't be worrying after him now as we know he's happy and free .. we are broken inside but knew the decision was the right one 💜
It sounds like Stan the man had an extra special last day - how wonderful for him. Many more special memories for you both too.
