As if 2 strokes in 15 months plus a double lung transplant isn’t enough I have now been told I suffered a mild ( thank the Lord mild) heart attack recently which I wasn’t aware of.
“Possible inferior infarct- age undetermined “ is their medical term for a myocardial arrest.
Suppose on a positive note I must be stronger than I think!!!
Anyway…During a curfew in Belfast which ordered all of the public to be indoors by 7pm private O’Malley spotted a guy walking down the street at 6.40pm and subsequently opened fire and shot the poor guy..
Raging with anger his captain said to him “ ffs O’Malley it’s 6.40 what the hell were you thinking of, we are in big trouble???”
O’Malley, without a care in the world replied
“ It’s ok Sir, I know where he lives and he would never have made it back in time”.

I hope your heart attack turns out to be as harmless as mine was back in 2013. It was worse than yours (boast, boast) cos I needed a bypass. I've had no problems with it till lately, when it has got slightly worse. You're such a strong gent that I sure you can tell your heart to behave itself. Fingers crossed that you will soon be feeling better. Thanks for the joke.😂😂😂I hope Donald's good news does not mean that Tottenham lost😒😕🙃.
If it's any consolation Mrb, my partner has had 2 heart attacks, 2 strokes, has raging diabetes badly controlled and goes for renal dialysis 3 times a week for kidney failure. I'm his carer and have had breast cancer and currently suffering with chronic myeloid leukemia. We're like the walking (well in his case hobbling) dead! We don't buy green bananas these days .. lol.
Mr B- that is 100% Irish humour. 😂😂😂. And yes, you are stronger than you think. Im visiting UCLH this morning. I wonder what tune's I'll play. Last time i was in, I played Chet Baker (But Not For Me) at his wifes request and the guy came alive - began talking and his wife said that's the first time he's been like that in 8 week So she asked fir details of the Bluetooth speaker and will invest!
I will check those out Mrbojangles. It will be like trying out a new scent! (I bought one yesterday from L'Occitane, St. Pancras. ) I'm not a great fan of two-fingered humour at funerals. One friend of mine chose 'Take the A Train' by Duke Ellington. At least as I left the service I was near dancing down the aisle. I shall listen to 'Goodbye' to see how my emotions are affected but one that would bring me to tears would be 'The Town I Loved So Well'. Oddly, I remember a joke my mother told me - a man was very proud of his singing parrot and boasted to his friend, "If you lift up b his right leg, he'll sing God Save the Queen and if you lift up his left leg he'll sing Rule Britannia. The friend asked "What if I were to lift both his feet up"?The parrot replied, "Well I fall off the effing perch!"
OMG - where is the reverence?! I will have to look up that song! I guess its the British sense of humour - laugh in the face of death. I can well understand a mix of tears and laughter! I suppose its like the deceased having the last word. Like "Up yours vicar, I'll do it my way."
Morning I have been following your progress with interest and you are doing fine. I had a single lung transplant in November and still struggling. I had a cardiac arrest after transplant, pneumonia, bronchial problems, heart problems, Had numerous bronchals to clear lungs of focus, transcopinary, put in coma, blood transfusions, fungus in new lung which is causing problems. I’m in and out of hospital - every time I go home after two weeks I’m back in hospital - the consultants think it is my home and I’m allergic to something inside. So my dog has gone to friends to see if it’s dog hairs that is effecting me. I’m in contact with environmental health to see if they can visit my home and see if there is anything in the air that’s effecting me. As I was laid up in hospital for 3 months I’ve had to learn to walk again and breathe again - which is s problem as my diaphragm is weak and I’m having to learn to breathe correctly as my brain thinks it’s still shallow breathing like being on oxygen. I do breathing tests and exercise every morning and still only on 50%lung capacity my other lung is dead. It’s about keeping active as much as possible so I try - I have panic attacks as feel I can’t breathe especially bending down - but I’m getting there. The drugs immosuppressants like you must be taken same time each day as do the others … it’s a small price to pay for being alive. So all I can say is bear with it, stay positive and relish the beauty of nature you like me are lucky to be here - keep safe and don’t mix too much with people and keep safe.
Stay safe reminds me of carefull crafted sign to hang round my neck. My sister and everyone else tells me I need to lose weight, and I agree but sister sent me this little signe which say, in big letters. "Heavy people are harder to kidnap, stay safe, eat cake." 😂🤣 good one ! I think it’s amazing just how much the human body can take if the mind is strong . In my experience beating Ill health is 50% medication and 50% determination . Your obviously a fighter 💪 On a very positive note my father in law suffered two mild heart attacks in his late 50’s , one he was totally unaware of and one , when he was told, he associated with chest pain he had had 18 months previously that passed after a few hours without treatment . The good news is that he died 30 years later of a totally unrelated short illness . Tough though it is now just keep going . Best wishes xx

Well done standing up to all that - You must be strong, I have cancer. lung and heart problems but, problems but - I wonder could I have been strong enough to have gone through a "double lung transplant " If my current cancer treatment fails, I will be offered a bladder removal as first choice - I wonder would I be brave enough to go through with that.
