heartpalpitations
I think that you should see your GP because there could be many reasons for this. I have lifelong bronch. I developed atrial fibrillation and cardiomyopathy ten years ago..palpitations were my fist signs of this but I struggled on for too long before I was diagnosed as a matter of urgency. It could also be something as simple as anxiety but best to find out.

I havé bronchiectasis and regularly get palpitations. I have seen a heart specialist and even had a recorder fitted but the palpitations are caused by the bronchiectasis and my heart is fine.
Last Autumn, at a time of great stress, i was getting bad palpitations. My doctor arranged an angiogram and a blood test, and when the results of these were through referred me for a echocardiogram and a walking angiogram. I'm still waiting for the results. The palpitations seem to have gone away as the stress abated. Littlepom's right. You need to see your doctor and find out just what is going o.
My respiratory nurse has referred me to the palpatation clinic due to the increase in the palpatation I am having. My appointment is in 2 weeks .
That sounds pretty frightening. I think a call to the gp is in order, promptly.

I have to be careful using rescue inhaler as it would give me palpitations but you should get it checked out xx
When I get an infection my hear rate now goes up.. I'd get checked out..
Hi Ali63 - Most palpitations pare are not serious but, if you are getting them bad, best see a GP. I have had them for years and still have, and take "Amiodarone" first for VT and now for AF.
Lots of treatments such as Beta Blockers or Calcium Channel Blockers are an example.
But depends on what is causing your palpitations if it's say stress being the cause, a GP can easily treat them. Sometimes no treatment at all is needed.
I think being you have bronchectis best see your GP - Anything to do with heart - get it checked out with your GP.
