with apologies for the late senses of the post- iPad was flat this morning.

I just hope that people who are struggling with chronic, detioriating conditions ,either living alone or with others have managed to have a reasonable day today.

I’ve live with my husband and have loads more company today, but I still feel lonely at times when I consider the detioriation in my health.

I’ve come straight on to the forum on return home.

I’ve found it reassuring, which sounds really strange, but the forum provides

Support to me.love to all xx

You’re right, poor health is a lonely place and no matter how kind and supportive our loved ones, they can never really understand our daily struggles. Hearing others planning their futures & fun times - I’m pleased for them of course, but the contrast with my own life does make me sad

I understand. It can sometimes feel as though you're in a parallel universe, can't it? You can see everything going on around you but don't quite feel part of it at times.I also find this forum a huge support and feel I have friends here who understand the ups and downs of living with our lung conditions, but it's so much more. I feel a sense of community.

I hope you feel OK this morning and ready to fight another day. Personally, I feel totally cream crackered after making an effort yesterday, so it will be a relaxing day today.

Chocolates and Bailey's here I come! Happy to send some across the ether to you so we can have a virtual lazy day together. 🍷🧆🍪xx Moy

You are so right. This forum is SO supportive. However, I think it's important to have nice things to look forward to. Family/friends visits, theatre trips even summer holidays. I think this attitude was born in my childhood. My disabled brother was very sick as a child but my mom was also concerned for me. She felt, as we lived in Birmingham, that I needed some sea air but was worried about booking a holiday. (The tent in Brean Down) The doctor told her to book it as chances were he would be ok to go and if it wasn't booked none of us would ever have a holiday at all.
