17 years of helpline support

Good afternoon everyone. Did you know that this week marks 17 years since our Helpline was set up: 17 years of helpline support — Asthma + Lung UK Blog (asthmaandlung.org.uk)

Please remember that our Helpline Team are here on 0300 222 5800 Monday – Friday 9:00am/5:00pm and you can talk to us about anything. Just recently we’ve spoken to people about managing their lung condition, welfare benefits, going on holiday, learning how to manage flare ups and options about medication and treatment. There may be some questions you'll have that we can't answer which might mean going back to your healthcare team, but we’re here to help and we’ll give you as much time as you need to talk about what’s important to you.

Thank you. The most helpful, helpline iv ever called. I would always recomend a call to Auk/ BLF helpline for best help and advice

Which one? The Asthma site or the BLF one? Or both 17 years ago?

Good morning! The BLF Helpline was set up 17 years ago and AUK’s 32 years ago in 1990.

Hi, as I was born with PCD, I was initially on that site. It was rather quiet, and last summer I was also put with the lung forum, presumably because part of PCD is bronchiectasis. I’ve found it more helpful, information and interesting, so thank you to whoever put me here as well, even though I find new banner and badge horrible! Though I have problems breathing, I don’t want to be reminded.
