My son has continuous dry cough from last 4-5 years after dog bite. We have met with lot of doctors and no one is able to understand the problem. If some one has any clue kindly suggest.

Hi, all I can suggest, if has had clear lung function tests is, acid reflux. My son has it and his cough is dry and grating. He has been having a few too many beers over the Xmas period and it has flared up again.
I think the dog bite after the onset of his cough, is just a coincidence. xx
Agree with Caster. I was going to write the same. I'm sure infection, irritants have long been ruled out. Acid reflux which you may not notice as heartburn indigestion can cause a reflux cough.
Hi, I agree. I ssumemhes had allergy test? He should if not. But I've got a I don't reflux aka GERD and have persistent dry cough. The use of Gaviscon daily along with Nexium helps a lot but it's still in the background.
He should speak to GP and be refereed to GI specialist for the required tests, to check it, there's a lot can be done nowadays including non invasive surgery.
