Bronchiectasis +flu like

Hi everyone hope your good,was just wondering if any of you with Bronchiectasis ever get flu like symptoms ie runny nose, sneezing, tired I don't mean now and again but quite often almost a pattern,this has been happening to me a lot, must mention this to consultant next time I see coz it's really annoying.Many thanks Ger

I was diagnosed with bronch just over a couple of years ago after pneumonia. Already had copd and asthma. I do get fatigued but just rest or sleep when it happens and rest of the time I have quite good energy levels. But once or twice a week I get sneezing fits and sometimes count up to 15 in a row.

Thanks for your reply.. that's amazing similarity to myself, asthma,COPD the diagnosed with Bronchiectasis after double Pneumonia and the sneezing fits usually late evening too much of a coincidence not be related to the Bronchiectasis,thank you so much.Ger

Runny nose is normal I think for Bronchiectasis. It seems that when I cough it irritates the sinuses and I always need the blow my nose afterwards. I think our sinuses become inflamed. Sometimes the nose becomes quite sore. It means I need two pockets, one for big hanky for nose and one for tissue to spit mucus into!
