Blood pressure

Can taking antibiotics lower blood pressure? Mine is low which is very unusual for me. Thankyou.

Antibiotics don't normally raise or lower BP, it might be associated with some of your other medication, are you on any thing different? I wouldn't worry too much if this is the first recording, you don't say what the level was? Keep a record of twice daily say mid morning sit down for 5/10 mins before taking it , repeat early evening when you are relaxing . Normal BP should be between roughly 120 to 140 Systolic that's the first reading, then between 70 to 90 for the diastolic the second reading. Saying that some people run slightly lower and that is normal for them. Monitor it if it below 105 and you feel unwell go to GP take recordings with you. Take care

I have been around 128/53 which gives me a BP of a 6 year old?
