4th covid reinforced booster or something or other

So I'm assuming most of us severe asthmatics/unicorns meet the criteria for 4th booster due to ending of restrictions? Not quite sure how I feel about it tbh, every time I'm rough in bed for 4-7 days again with mirror symptoms of when I had covid and at my worst with long covid. 2 years I'm still living with long covid obviously don't want it again. Not even sure why I'm saying this, I know I need it. Just 🥴 sleep deprived and everything is bigger than it needs to be clearly! 😂🤣😆 end of dear diary have a lovely evening and hope your all kinda keeping well and out of hospital unless you work there of course! Lol x

From what I can see it’s only those who are considered immunocompromised by green book standards. I’m unicorn status but not ongoing oral steroids, while considered CEV due to frequent use of steroids and comorbidities, I’mDisappointed that I don’t meet the criteria even though I’m on week 3 of being off my feet from recent Covid infection and with all restrictions being removed it makes me terrified.

I checked the Green Book and apart from the list of immune deficiencies the following will be offered another jab:

1. Those taking over 20mg prednisolone per day for more than 10 days in the month before vaccination

2. Those taking over 10mg prednisolone per day for more than 4 weeks in the 3 months before vaccination

3. Those who’ve taken over 40mg prednisolone per day for 7 days in the month before vaccination

In fact, I’ve already had a 4th (immune deficiency) so the next will be my 5th, as it will be for many of those on ongoing pred

Please don’t assume that all severe asthmatics will receive 4th dose. I am surprised and disappointed that despite being CEV due to asthma and COPD with immunity issues I am not eligible. Yet I received priority PCR test due to potential issues should I contract Covid. Is a nonsense in my opinion.

See I'm hopefully getting the fourth jab this weekend, but still have received nothing re: PCR etc.

😔 from what I can make of it it's based on your original status at time when they devised original list I just 1 small example the dose and timescale of prednisolone for the timescale below. So if anything has changed contact your hospital/gp. But quite where the logic is at times is questionable. I also think the local hospital your under do their own check and state it may not be accurate but it's the best they got to identify their own at risk patients. I'm not sure what to say it's all a bit of a mess and CEV we clearly don't matter anymore as long as b.j keeps his job peoples lives come second... sorry don't mean to offend. X

Idk. I mean I've been on long term steroids since like middle of last year. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think it's been misrecorded in my summary care record (e.g. it's still listed as rescue for prednisolone rather than daily etc even though my GP, Consultant, etc. all know I'm on long-term steroids!). Maybe that's why I never got the letter/PCR etc.
