I found your page after my boss at the charity shop where I volunteer said I may be on the Asperger's spectrum. She said that sometimes my reactions resembled those of another volunteer who had formally been diagnosed. It was not long after a customer had called me a dummy for not directing him to the changing rooms straight away.

There are a lot of people out there who are undiagnosed, especially amongst older people. Diagnosis criteria has changed over the years. It is good that your boss seems to be supportive. Don't worry too much about "people". People can be cruel no matter who you are. Sometimes, people have a bad day and say things they wouldn't say normally. Sometimes that is just who they are. Just do your best and you will be fine. It might be worth speaking to your GP if you have concerns. Some GP's are good with this and some aren't. It depends on what area you live in. My husband is probably an undiagnosed. He went to his GP and his GP said that they don't deal with adult diagnosis here. However, other areas they do, so it's worth checking. Otherwise, you might want to contact the National Autistic Society. They offer support and advice. I'll find the link.

Well don't worry, I totally understand how people do that nonsense.

But can I say something.......

Please don't give up, I think people who have aspergers or special needs is the man in the sky (God) listens to what you say but I always thought my friends can support me so can my family but so can I just a little help from someone or even a hug the best way is to live and think some days can be turned around for the better and I usually think that positivity is the best way around to keep everything together with everything. Good luck! Becky
