New and feeling anxious

I’ve developed a pea sized lump next to my clitoris and the area is sore and itchy, I know it’s not thrush. I have an appointment with my GP tomorrow for my smear and to look at the lump. I know it’s probably nothing to worry about but in the last fortnight I’ve also been recalled for further investigation following my mammogram (only 42 but I have annual mammogram due to family history) and I’m feeling really run down and tired all the time. Trying not to worry but concerned that I’ll get fobbed which will still leave me worrying.

It may be nothing, I had something similar a couple of years back and my GP thought it was a blocked duct. However, further investigation when I saw Gynae proved otherwise. it was removed and is nothing to worry about further, but i would insist on being referred to Gynae to check it out.

Good luck and please try and keep cheerful, I know this must be worrying but you need to remember that once things get looked at, you're referred, then you are in the system and will continue to be monitored carefully! You're in good hands!!!

GP thinks it’s an infected cyst so i have a week of antibiotics to see if it settles, fingers crossed. Will feel happier once it’s gone.

If after a month it’s still there or comes back please ask for a biopsy
