Hysteroscopy False Passage

HI, I am 57 in May I was referred to gynaecologist after bleeding 2 years after menopause. He tred to do colposcopy but couldn't so he booked me in for Hysteroscopy under general 6 days later. When I came around he told me that he had had to abandon the Hysteroscopy because he had created a False Passage and now could not gain access due to cervical stenosis. I now have to wait for a vaginal ultrasound, as I have still not received an appointment I phoned the ultrasound department and was told that my referral was non urgent and I would have to wait for an appointment. This is causing me some distress as the gynaecologist originally thought it was urgent enough to preform Hysteroscopy within a week and has now left me waiting. Not sure what to do. Has anyone else had a False Passage created?

Hi there,

We are sorry to hear you are having such a worrying time.

Can we suggest you back to your GP who originally referred you to ask them to chase this up for you and ask for more explanation on what they mean by false passage ? And also ask why your referral has been downgraded to non – urgent ?

Best Wishes,

Team Eve
