Zapain wipe me out completely, perfect at bed time but would normal paracetamol be ok during the day? I’m trying hard to not take diclofenac or naproxen because of side effects. Already tired because of under active thyroid 😩

I don't see why not, but I should check with either your GP or Pharmacist to be on the safe side.

Zapain contain paracetamol anyway so I can’t see any reason why you could not take ordinary paracetamol. However I don’t find it very effective and prefer cocodamol which is paracetamol with 8 mg codeine per tablet whereas Zapain has a much higher codeine content (30 mg per tablet). You can buy cocodamol over the counter in a pharmacy.

Do you use a diclofenac gel like Voltarol to apply topically? That might help too.

Ask your pharmacist for advice.

Will have to try cocodomol, I think they tend to make you constipated? Which again is a symptom of thyroid so will speak to pharmacist first. Thank you for reply.

Yes anything containing codeine can have that effect. I have Lactulose for constipation if eating extra fruit/veggies and drinking more water don't do the trick. Ask your pharmacist for advice.
