I'm in the same boat saramic; I can only take one of my dogs a few hundred yards on a bad day. Fortunately my wife takes them for a long run every day too. I do find that that small piece of exercise does actually help a bit as long as I have a rest afterwards. I use a knee support too, but you may try some balms that rub in, Tiger Balm (available in chemists) and Lion Balm (slightly less effective and found in Poundshops for two pots for a £1). There is one more to try Capsican cream but it's only on prescription and you need to ask your doctor if it's suitable. Hope to try this soon. There's CBD oil but very expensive and I hear it only works for some people and is being hyped by companies selling supplements, but I think the jury is out as to how effective it is. I don't think there's any magic remedy unfortunately, and painkillers simply don't work on me.
