Hello everyone,

I am wondering if any of my fellow pain sufferers have tried Indian TURMERIC CURCUMIN with black pepper 500mg. Dose one to three capsules daily ? This is for pain relief and an anti inflammatory.

If so l would like to hear if they have had positive results and worth trying ?

My CRP is at the moment 140 which l believe is high. It has been around this figure for a few years. I have tried Methotrexate with the most terrible side effects, l really thought l was finished !

Thank you, l look forward to hearing from anyone who has tried Turmeric Curcumin.

Regards footgo

Much better and cheaper to make Turmeric Golden Paste. Lots of information, recipe and support on these two Facebook groups Turmeric Support Group or Turmeric User Group UK or turmericforhealth.com

Hello

As a Remedial Therapist I have long advocated the use of turmeric to my patients. Indeed, using turmeric in conjunction with other substances(legal) and certain therapies I have restored 90% pain-free function to both of my knees. I have also met lots of folk who state that they have used turmeric but it was 'no good'. Upon further investigation, it always transpired that there were certain factors, for example; the black pepper that had been overlooked. I personally have great confidence in the efficacy of turmeric. After the discussion, they would 'try again', being successful more often than not . I must add that it doesn't happen overnight.

All the best,

Reg.

Good day Reg1,

l appreciate your views on Turmeric , very interesting. I am sure that there is a lot of good positive information on Turmeric.

There are definitely more positive than negative views.

I have read that if you take it with olive oil it helps the body to absorb the Turmeric and black pepper, have you heard this ?

I know that we are all different, roughly how long, on average, does it take to start working in the body?

Thank you Reg1.

Regards footgo.

Good day Footgo. Yes, I know some people do use olive oil. My personal preference tastewise would be coconut oil . As you say; everyone is different. If you are taking an optimum amount then I would suggest from as little as two weeks up to three months before you start to notice a difference. May I just mention I know someone who poured himself a glass of cold milk and despite my advice to use a high speed blender, he simply stirred the turmeric and pepper in with a teaspoon. When I next saw him; he of course, was complaining it was terrible to drink, staining his lips and mouth.

It's rather nice to drink at an ambient temp. but sometimes I would zap it in the microwave.

Enjoy and good luck,

Reg .

Hello Reg1

Thank you for answering my questions, l appreciate your views on Turmeric.

Reading about Turmeric Curcumin and black pepper 500mg l do believe that it really is worth trying. I would probably go up to 1500mg a day. Do you know if it is better to split the dose, ie morning, midday and evening ? I feel that it is better to gradually reach that 1500mg over a few weeks.

Thank you, regards footgo.

Hello again :-) . Personally, I have not used or advocated proprietary products as I consider them extremely over priced. Actually; I tell a lie. I did try turmeric capsules a few years back when a friend bought them for me. My opinion? Not for me. You can go into the 'foods of the world' aisle in the supermarket and purchase a large pouch of turmeric for a little over £1. Some black pepper and your choice of oil(coconut?) and you're good to go. I would suggest that you follow the advice that Cobra2018 gave you in an earlier reply.

All the best,

Reg :-)

Good day Reg1,

I feel that you might be right Reg, l am unable to get ‘out’ but will ask my wife to look into the ‘foods of the world’ aisle next time she goes shopping.

All medication is so expensive, if l can save l will definitely follow your suggestions.

Thank you Reg. Have a good day.

Regards footgo.
