Thank you APP

Dear members of the APP forum,

it has been a while since I've uploaded a painting for you. This one is called "Seclusion".

I have been with the forum since winter 2015. PPP seems a long time ago, but progression of my recovery had been slow, because of my struggles with fear and anxiety. Yet, my health has improved tremendously since connecting with APP and meeting such wonderful people on this forum.

Below I would like to share something with you: some great guidance in order to self-manage our mental health!

There are 5 mile stones of "A Wellbeing Roadmap", which are of great importance and have been highlighted by Somerset Mental Well Being Service (Compass Disability Service working in partnership with Mind South-West & Chard Watch CIC).

- Be active: Go for a walk or run...discover a physical activity you enjoy and that suits your level of mobility and fitness.

- Connect: Connecting with the people around you at home, work, or in your local community. Building these connections will support and enrich you every day.

- Keep learning: try something new, rediscover an old interest, sign up for a course, , learn to play an instrument or how to cook....Set a challenge you will enjoy achieving...[it] will make you more confident as well as being fun.

- Give: Do something nice for a friend, or a stranger, Smile, volunteer your time...Look out as well as in. Seeing yourself, and your happiness, linked to the wider community can be incredibly rewarding...

- Take notice: be curious, catch sight of the beautiful, savour the moment...Reflecting on your experiences will help you appreciate what matters to you.

WISHING YOU ALL HEALTH AND HAPPINESS FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!

:-)

Those mile stones are certainly true! Thanks Jasa, it’s good to sometimes take a step back and remember all the things that can help you feel mentally well and happy. I love your Artwork too, it’s great that you find it so helpful xx

Thank you for sharing this :-)

Please remember you are doing so well. Even when it feels like progress may be slow it is just part of the natural process in that our minds and bodies need time to heal. The best we can do is take really good care of ourselves, access and accept the support available and trust that things will get better.

This forum and APP are a great source of strength and support thank you and best wishes to you all xx
