Hello, my name is Jessie.

I've been a reader of this forum for the past 2 years whilst recovering from PP. I've not ever written a post before (just a few comments here and there). I always wonder how many people there are like me that get so much from it without ever making a sound!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that has been involved in this forum, it has been such a huge part of my recovery to read everyone's posts. This is such a special community of incredible women, family and friends, I'm so thankful I came across this space!

Hello Jessie

Thank you so much for your post. It's very good to know you have found the forum helpful during your recovery. I'm sure your comments here and there have been comforting to other mums. I think that's a good thing about the forum .....there's a choice for mums to post or just dip in and out whenever they need support or can empathise.

When I had the good fortune to find APP some years ago I also felt very reassured that I could 'talk' openly for the first time about my psychoses years ago. The support and virtual friendships here have made such a difference. PP mums are amazing as we have endured so much for the love of our children and family.

Take very good care of yourself ......

Hi Jessie,

Great to hear that the forum has been helpful for you in recovering from PP. It's such an amazing feeling to know that we are not alone. I too wonder how many ladies there are who read and get so much from it without writing posts. It's the beauty of an online resource like this to get information and hear others' experiences I suppose.

I too have really benefited from reading and sharing a little on here, I hope you continue to make great steps in your recovery and are enjoying family life with your little one. Take care, xx

Hi Jessie,

Yes I absolutely echo your sentiments, for me it's been such a great way of realising I'm not alone in what I've been through, even if it's just by observing discussions from afar I've found it really reassuring.

Thanks to all involved!

Amy

Hello jessieh

PP mums certainly are amazing!

We have all been through such trauma and yet are all here to share our experiences and support if we can. As you say, it is a special place, because we can relate to each other and truly understand the highs and lows. I hope you continue to be well to share many happy hours with your family.

Take very good care of yourself.
