Hi courts20,

Thanks for getting in touch with us. I believe there is a Mother and Baby Unit at St.George's Park, Morpeth that you could try contacting. Their web address is:

ntw.nhs.uk/sd.php?l=2&d=9&s...

Tel: 01670 501 869

Best of luck and let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

Warmest,

JonesieB

Hi there

I suffered with Post-Partum Psychosis after both my children, but as I live in Sheffield and there are no mother and baby unit's here I had to go to a general psychiatric ward. I was misdiagnosed for years and I now suffer with Bipolar and P.T.S.D.

I hope you get some help very soon and I hope you don't have to suffer like I did.

Please let me know how you get on.

Best of luck Poulson

Hi courts20

Well done for finding the forum and reaching out for some help with finding a Mother & Baby Unit. I wondered if you are being supported by any health professionals at the moment alongside your midwife? I had a look at the website for the unit in Morpeth and they normally take referrals for pregnant or postnatal mums aged 16 or over, but because you live in the area my hope is that it should be possible for you to be supported there - So it would be a good idea for you to talk to your GP or any of the health professionals who are working with you at the moment to see if they can help you and make a referral.

If we can support you in any way and give you advice about what it's like to spend time on a mother and baby unit, or looking after your mental health in general do keep asking us. It's what we are here for.

With best wishes

Naomi
