Hi lisabunny, have been taking 50mg for one month, now going on to 75mg as I am still anxious
have about 2/4 bm in the morning dont know if this is the Sertraline or the anxiety, but no other effects at all.
Been on Sertraline for 2 weeks and struggled with side effects. Sleepless nights and difficulty eating. Feeling pretty low. Hopefully turning the corner as know it helped me in the past.
Hi Ilsonbunny.I was one of the unfortunate one's who suffered a serious psychotic reaction to Sertraline including behavior and personality changes with suicidal ideation after 2 months on 50 mg sertraline.GP thought my depression had been getting worse and increased dosage to 100 mg and this resulted in hallucinations, insomnia, suicidal planning.I have been weaned off sertraline gradually and now on mirtazapine(2nd week)definitely better than sertraline but need to wait for +2 weeks to see its full effect.I do not want to put you off meds as the medications work different with people.you need to see your GP if you're concerned about the side effects.pls don't stop taking antidepressants the cold turkey way as it needs gradually reduced.it also would be worth to Google 'Serotonin Syndrome' and have a read.God bless!
Hi sammy thanks for replying. I was on 50mg and my therapist said keep on it for a year. Then when I started having Ectopic heartbeats my GP said ween off them after 6 month. Will certainly google serotonin syndrome. I did feel great after 6 weeks and was singing all the time. lol. Hope you are feeling better. We expect to feel relief from medication not add to our symptoms
Take care love
