Winter Poem

The trees are bare. The sky is white

The sun has gone it's out of sight

Darkness descends early at night

You wake in the morning before it's light

Out come coats, gloves, scarves and shoes

No wonder people get the blues

But there are some who like it so

Crisp cold mornings and white, white snow

Stuff that makes your body glow

with energy from head to toe

Children jump about with glee

For some it is a mystery

How the snow falls from the sky

and before long is knee high

Snowman building is in motion

Little hands full of devotion

Later by the fire a glowing

Get the circulation flowing

Feeling happy and content

They think about the day they've spent
