I've been on citalopram for about 2 years for treatment of social anxiety and it helps me with the physical symptoms such as sweat and racing heartbeat but it doesn't have an effect on anything else. My mood stays the same.

i only took 1 lastnight and my head felt like it was goin 2 explode and i felt really uncomftable like everybone was hurting me i havent taken it 2day as i didnt like the feeling afta 1 although anymore.

I've found them helpful - the side effects go away after a few days so I would say stick with it. I think they stabilised my mood to the point where the therapy (CBT) became more effective. Are you doing CBT?

It s good and it works ;-)

I was on them for about a year and found them very good. A lot of meds seem to have side effects at first. Stick with it, you'll feel better.

I took Citalopram a few years back, I found that it affected my appetite but didn't really touch my anxiety at all. So I stopped it. But everyone is different, in my experience its best just to try and see if it helps as otherwise you

may read about bad experiences and subconsciously you're half expecting it to fail before you've even given it a chance. Remember that with anti depressants/anti anxiety drugs you usually need to take them consistently for a few weeks to know if they will work or not.
