How to cope with side effects

So day 2 of starting back my medication and the side effects are kicking in. Increased anxiety and nausea. Any tips on how to cope with this? And how long do the side effects usually last? The nausea is so bad it woke me this morning, I can’t eat and it lasts all day. I know it’s common and it will pass but I just need some relief right now so I can actually eat something.

This is normal when you’re medication is kicking in nausea and anxiety being the most common one maybe you should go back to the drs for some anti sickness medication they helped me when I first had mine it took almost 3 months to get it in my system but maybe these medications don’t agree with you even if you’ve had them before... I was on sertraline when I was first depressed in year 1999 came off them a year later needed them again and I was constantly throwing up couldn’t eat or sleep then I had to go on venlafaxine and propranolol and it only took 2 weeks to get in my system... just try and persevere with them it’s only day 2 babes you need at least 14 days to get in ya system but if the nausea is persistent then ask you’re dr for anti sickness to help along the way

Hope this helps in any way

Thank you for your reply. I’ve been given propranolol too but I’m scared to mix the medications. I’m going to ride it out I know it’s common I just can’t remember feeling this bad the last time I took them. My anxiety is sky high right now. I don’t take them for depression I have bad health anxiety x

I am sorry the side effects are getting to you... as I'm sure they take awhile to go away & relief takes time too. I would talk to your doctor if the side effects are getting to you. Try eating stuff that makes you happy... if you can. Try to be kind to yourself.
