High Heart Rate?

How high does your heart rate get when you’re having an anxious day? Mine when I’m really anxious will get up to 150-165 bpm I see on my watch but it doesn’t stay like that for hours or anything. And it doesn’t get above 140 unless I’m suuuper anxious, so rarely. Usually after the anxious feeling passed it goes down...just worrying about it this evening as usual, I had an ekg done on my heart a few months ago and blood test to see if there was damage to my heart and they said all was fine but I could follow up w a cardiologist if I wanted. I didnt cuz I didn’t feel the need to add more stress. Thanks in advance! always worrying about something. 😫

This is high but not dangerously so especially as it comes down again quickly. Now if it was over 200 and stayed there you could have a problem.

Okay, I will relax then. Thank you! It never stays that high for hours, only up and down for the duration of me being anxious. It’s gotten 200 one time but it was for a second and I was in a bad panic attack and had JUST given birth.

Well that is a very good reason to have a high heart rate!

I have lung disease and recently I had a nasty fall in my garden. Nothing was broken thank goodness but a bossy neighbour insisted on calling an ambulance. They checked the oxygen level in my blood and were concerned it was only 85 (a normal healthy persons would be the late 90's), but it quickly rose to 91 and they were happy. Ok that's low but not in the danger zone. I reckon the shock of my fall caused it, the same way anxiety causes your blood pressure to spike.

To be honest I would stop taking your blood pressure as it is only making you more anxious. You only need to do this if you have a known health issue. If you had a dangerously high bpi you would get symptioms such as feeling ill and shortage of breath.

This is my heart rate, not blood pressure 🙂

Sorry. The same thing applies though. If you had heart problems you would know it. I advice you to stop keep measuring it.

Hello :-)

I totally agree with hypercat54 if it is your heart or BP stop taking it !

I have been so foolish this week , I was worrying about my BP and borrowed a friends machine for a week and what has it done made me so ill with all the different readings , my anxiety in the air !

I know better yet I did it which makes me feel angry with myself

Since even though I got some high readings the Doctors are not concerned yet that has not helped my anxiety one bit but the machine has fed my anxiety and done a right good job of it !

Those machines especially for people with HA are the worse thing ever !!!

If you are really worried speak to your Doctor but please after what it has caused me this week and I am still going through it get rid of that monitor , that will make you more ill than anything :-)

Take Care x

A resting heart rate should be between 70-90 bpm if doing no exercise.im a level 4 personal trainer an know you can't exercise a client with a resting heart rate over 100. I have to send them to the doctors with a note to ask their doctor permission to exercise them with a dangerous heart rate. To get a true resting heart rate u take it as u wake up in morning before anything else.hope this helps never let ur heart rate go to 200 when resting.

This isn’t resting. This is during a panic attack or high anxiety, as stated. HR can go over 100 very very safely when doing exercise. Thanks anyways.
