When I was given diazepam for sleep, I was awake all night each time I used it. Could not believe it! When I got back with the Neuro he gave me alprazalam which works much better for me. I have .5 mg pills and break them in half to add to my bedtime meds. I'm sleeping very well now. Good luck with yours!

The one other pill you might think about adding to your sleep routine is doxalamine (Unisom) which is an OTC antihistamine. A druggist told me that it is very safe to be taken and makes many sleep better. I have been adding one of those at night for a very long time, and it seems to lengthen my time asleep, maybe by intensifying the sleeping pills effects. Best wishes to you.
