I’ve found 4 lumps in my neck both about the size of a bean they’re both quite hard two on the left and two on the right almost like they’re in pairs i had a cold bout two weeks ago so i’m not to sure if it could be my lymph nodes i’m worried it could be cancer or something i’m having no other symptoms just a bit of a sore neck almost feels like i’ve slept on it funny otherwise nothing else i’m 19 years old should i be worried could it be cancer or lymphoma i’ve looked on google and it’s all bad i’m really worried i don’t wanna have cancer or lymphoma i’m really starting to freak out i dunno what to do anymore is it normal to have lumps in the neck i’m constantly worrying bout my health i’m always checking for lumps everywhere it’s just too much now i can’t deal with it🙁

It’s absolutely normal to have lumps in your neck. I have a couple and I notice them on my children too. Once you notice them you think ‘how did I ever not notice them before’. It’s also incredibly normal to have raised lumps (different to the ones I mentioned that are part of the make up of your body) after a cold. Like you say, glands are up during coughs and colds, you should probably check them out with your doctor to check you don’t need antibiotics for an infection.

Because of the size you’re describing though and no tenderness I’m willing to bet they’re just nodules on your muscles/veins/internal make up. Nothing but lumps of flesh you never noticed before and will notice forever now.

Good luck x

Sounds like hypochondria and health anxiety I 2 suffer constant worry about my health my started around my heart thinking I was gonna have a heart attack I’m so aware of my heart know I’m normal to really get checked out and see someone to rule out health anxiety as honestly I didn’t staright away and it ruined my life , keep me updated

I had a similar thing, I found a lump on both sides under my jaw, scared myself that I had cancer. Went to the doctors and the doctor could feel them to so then I got more scared. They were about 1.5 cms big. Anyway I had a blood test and a ultrasound scan which showed they were just NORMAL lymph nodes. They are still there now but they are NORMAL.

Can u move them around a little bit? I’ve got two little pea sized ones at the sides of my neck, they are also normal.

I really feel ur pain over these things, I worry everyday about having cancer xxxx

i’m sorry you had to go through the same scare and mine are bout the size of a pea or bean i can move them a little bit they don’t hurt or anything either i think i’m still sort of suffering from that cold i’ve had so it could be that but i’m gonna go doctors to get them checked out

This is normal. It is more than likely just your body fighting off a little infection. This happens all the time and most of the time people do not notice it. If you have health anxiety --everything is noticed.

The best is as you stated to go to your doctor and find out the answers.

Sounds like your lymph nodes in there doing exactly what they're supposed to do. Take comfort in knowing that your body is performing as it should and your lymph system is filtering out the toxins and other nastiness from the cold you're getting over.
