I’m pretty I wrote on this , but I’m so anxious right now, so I created another one . Simply put , like in the subject line , I wanted to know had anyone overcome Aerophagia ? If so, what methods did you use? And also, how long was your healing journey. I’ve had this for years now, and it goes away sometimes w/ chamomile tea, also when I get sleep and when I concentrate on something , I noticed the burping is calm. I have also had dietary issues of not being able to let go of certain foods....therefore having acid reflux. So, I’m truly getting the double whammy on this.
I do take chamomile tea , and also have ginger lemon tea to settle my stomach , but truly want advice on this...!

For me I think it happens because I hold myself rigid all day, and probably night to with my jaw clenching. I don't breathe properly during the day, and sometimes unknowingly hold my breath, so maybe I unconsciously gulp sometimes, think I do this when eating.
I suffer terrible muscle tension in my back, ne and shoulders, and often gave stomach upsets.
I suffer more if I gave a hot drink after a meal in the evenings, I can vbe burping all night, so I have stopped this drink, which has made that better.
But I do sometimes get a horrible knot of air in my tummy that seems to coincide with my muscle pain and then I think fear kicks in and my stomach then works overtime.
Having said all this, because I have been working it all out for myself, I have less fear of it now and it has lessened considerably. Mainly I think because I don't freak out about it so much anymore. I still get all the muscle pain though, so I need to work on that now.
It certainly does. I get it sometimes and get like stomach bubbles , then let out these big burps or have flatulence. Chamomile tea , i found has calmed it , since for me , it’s a nervous habit....also want to see what other food/drink/herb could work....but yes I do get the back aches too.
I’m going to calm down more about it and take your advice... & not be fearful of it ...it’s not gotten out of hand, but it’s still a habit and bothersome . I’m going to be more relaxed. Thank you for this advice!
