Interesting& good to look into thanks for sharing about this! I know I’ve read about a brain/gut Connection and how you make some brain chemicals in the stomach like serotonin I think- was a while back so yea I’ll research again also &see what I can find??

first - not even the person who first postulated leaky gut thinks it is a real thing - just that there is so much out there on the web that it just keeps resurfacing.

Second, gut issues can cause problems absorbing vitamins and mineral that you need not just for good physical health but also for good mental health - iron, folate and B12 are probably the most commonly affected. All of them can result in depression and anxiety.
