Heavy head, foggy thinking

I am very very foggy headed daily, like my brain is stuck in a fog, and not able to come out of it. I can't believe if anxiety is causing all this. I am depressed too but this brain fog is very impairing. I can't comprehend, concentrate, my memory is gone and i am losing track of time.

Totally understand. I too have the same issue. I've heard it called derealization when you feel like a dream like state or brain fog. I've had MRIs, CAT scans, echocardiograms and all is normal. The anxiety can release a chemical what my Dr calls your fight or flight reaction that the body does naturally when scared, anxious and stressed. I also, not all the time, get tension headaches with it as well.

If you want peace of mind have your Dr order tests. Don't feel like your wasting everyone's time or embarassed that you are having this sensation. I am on 25mg of Metoprolol beta blocker for the BP but mostly for the anxiety. It does help. I am calmer and less stressed that helps less of the brain fog but still there.

Keep the faith and hope you will do better.
