Has anyone taken amitriptyline and if so does it help insomnia.been prescibed 10mg.at the moment on 3.75mg zopiclone which knock me out

I started on 5-10 mg at night then upped to 10-20. So at first was just taking 1/2 pill and they're tiny!

I'm on 20 mg.of amitriptyline .Sleep is hit or miss.Can't always guarantee it will work.
