Hey folks!

So I had a great night on day 4 of no Zoloft. I didn’t sleep much, probably because I took my b complex pill later in the day/I was up late due to my bf’s roommate being loud, but I woke up feeling slowly more normal. No vivid dreams that I really remembered.

I felt a little weird - kinda like some slight depersonalization again? Like my memories hadn’t been thought of in a while. Got scared again of the odd feeling - I can still feel Zoloft in my system. I got scared of going crazy/if I am crazy/what if I hallucinate. Gah! Then I remember my therapist and other mental health professionals assuring me I’m ok.

I also notice my vision doesn’t focus as easily since Zoloft..? Like sometimes it’s blurry, sometimes it just takes a second to process.

Cheers! Hopefully I feel 100% soon.

I think you're making really good progress from previous updates. I dont always get a chance to comment, but I'm so happy things are slowly getting back to normal for you!

Aw thank you!! You know I keep up with you two. Please message me anytime x

Great!! It took awhile for my vision to come back.

One thing I do remember while being on Zoloft was this stupid song being stuck in my head! Ugh! Never want to hear that song ever!!

Now that I’m off the Zoloft the song is out of my head!!

It made no sense why that song was stuck in my head, but every time it would play in my head, I knew the med was playing tricks on me.

Lastly on the Zoloft I remember was my hair growing real fast. Totally bizarre, but I had to get it cut in 3 weeks!

Omg Bryan.... we are two peas in a pod. My alarm clock sound gets stuck in my head daily, as do songs! It’s SO odd. My hair grew so much, too!!!!!! Like I swear 4 inches. I also noticed it shedding more in the tub? And I have to pluck my eyebrows more. SO weird hahahaha. The vision thing is odd!! Hoping this all passes soon!

Lol, I even had to get my eyebrows trimmed! My vision was very strange, mostly poor, but the few days I felt amazing- I could see like an eagle. I think I was just having a very odd reaction to the Zoloft- cause I felt euphoric- incredible, indescribable.

Ok so the last thing I remember is my feet sweating- eww. I’m from S. TX so I’m used to the heat and rarely sweat at all- I have to bring a light jacket with to go into some stores, lol.

Maybe we’re related 😜

I wouldn’t be surprised!! My vision gets weird, too. Like, a sort of not focusing/spacing out feeling? It’s hard to explain. The sweating is definitely very very annoying. I had it during a nightmare the other night. Man Zoloft messed us up!!

in reply to

Yes it did!! Glad to be done! I hope you feel better!! 🙂🙂

Thank you!!! Just got a wave of weirdness from it; man!! Like get oooout of my system!

You tell it!!! Weird how it doesn’t want to let you go, it must know you’re close!!

Totally spit balling here - I have weird vision stuff too that it would be hard for me to describe but I was never on Zoloft. I noticed depth perception slightly off - more pronounced certain times than others - ever since my anxiety started. I guess the closest thing I could liken it to would be that little vision change when you do certain recreational drugs (I haven't touched any in 20 years but I remember the vision change vividly). I know drugs often dilate pupils, and I think fight or flight/adrenaline does as well (to make you more visually focused I guess), so I wonder if it's some combination of the two or a return to normalcy in that regard that we aren't used to? I dunno. Whenever I felt that vision thing I'd look at my eyes in the mirror and the pupils didn't LOOK dilated... 🤔

Thank you for your response!! It totally could be! It’s amazing how adrenaline can do that. I’m thinking it has to be the Zoloft... I have been getting all sorts of weird effects so I’m hoping the second it’s out of my system, I’ll go back to normal!
