I don't know what is going on

I have been having weird symptoms since July of 2018. My vision has been "dim" and feeling presure behind or in my eye. Numbness and burning in my fingers. Went to neuro and had mri. Said nothing wrong. Went to eye doctor. Same. Still feel the same thing. Don't know what's going on. Have a cousin with ms and having other ms symptoms. I don't know what to do

Hi kristina222534, considering the fact that you have seen a Neurologist, Eye Doctor as

well as having an MRI, I tend to lean towards the fact that it might have to do with your

cousin having MS. I don't doubt that you are experiencing these weird feelings but

once any physical issue is ruled out, psychological component needs to be thought about.

Talking with a therapist regarding your cousins MS and how it may be affecting you might

be worth a try. It's not unusual when someone close to us suffers from a health issue that

the person with health anxiety can pick up on those same symptoms. Just a thought xx

She was diagnosed years ago. The orthopedic doctor put it in my head

Were you taking any antidepressants or tapering? Withdrawal symptoms or discontinuation syndrome can easily mimic MS.

Get your vitamin B level and D checked as well

No I wasn't on anything at the time. But she sure did put me on something that has thrown me into a loop now.

It took my 2nd Neuro to make the MS diagnosis. All of our Dr's "practice" medicine. They give it their personal "best shot." They don't get it right all the time. Sometimes they get lucky. I vote for a 2nd Neuro opinion, to be sure.

That's what I think I need because my stepdad is a neuroradiolist and he said I should have had an MRI with contrast.

If you did an mri your clear from ms... they would have seen something

In my 1st MRI and 1st Neuro, he mentioned a possibility of MS, but never made the diagnosis after 18 mo. of staying with him. He just kept me hanging on and treating my insomnia issues. The 2nd Neuro, younger, Duke educated, did 2nd MRI with contrast, along with spinal tap, gave the diagnosis, which the 1st had not followed through on. Get a 2nd opinion! We must be in control of our own health issues. Do not give any Dr. credit for knowing it all! They frequently make mistakes. Don't allow yourself to be one of them!
