I think I am going to faint and die

Hi its me I've been really anxious lately anyways right now im really lightheaded and totally derealized and i think im going to faint and die. Im doing some deep breathing and i took a xanax but im MAXIMUM scared. Like this is about as scared as I get and it's awful. It feels like tje end of the world. Im with my boyfriend but i feel like hes not really here. Is anybody up?

I am so sick of panic attacks and anxiety. I cant make it stop no matter what I do and no one should have to feel like this. Its so awful. Nothing even triggered it. And i have derealization 100% of the time but when i have these terrible attacks it gets so bad I dont even feel like Im on planet earth. I dont know what to doooo. i actually cannot function in society. I know Ive been on here for a long time and I probably sound like a broken record but I promise this is a lot more annoying for me than it is for you! Lol. Im so sorry to everyone dealing with this.

awww i know how you feel im matthew i have anxiety and derealization too and it sucks im in the uk and im 21 im always here if u ever need or want to talk to anyone i know how and what your going through im so glad im not alone in this fight

Hi someone, sorry somehow I missed seeing your post. Believe me you don't sound like

a broken record. Derealization and Panic/Anxiety are wearing and it's hard to break that

cycle. Does the Xanax help at all when you are at maximum level of anxiety? Depending

how long you've been on Xanax and at what dose could make your anxiety worse. I know

because that happened to me. I hated that lightheaded sensation and feeling out of touch

with life. You are not going to faint and you are not going to die, at least from anxiety.

But you have to believe that. Deep breathing is a great stress reliever but needs to be

practiced several times a day until it becomes an automatic response. I would talk it

over with your prescribing doctor or therapist. You need a combination approach to

this spiraling anxiety. It's what I did. xx

It was for me at one time and that is why I mention it.

I can only go by my own experiences someone. I remember

the day so well when Xanax no longer worked for me. The

symptoms came back with a fury and I couldn't understand why

because nothing had changed with my dose or med. It was then

my therapist told me that was the issue. Nothing had changed.

I came to a point that while on Xanax I was experiencing withdrawal.

Only a doctor can tell you for sure. xx

Can't sleep either, aside from having a cold I too feel alot of anxiety as well, feeling hot and tired but I can't seem to fall asleep.

There is ALWAYS a trigger...it just didn't register enough for you to remember. An image in your head, a fleeting thought, a certain body posture, something your boyfriend said or even a smell that triggered a memory? Really try to go over what you were thinking/feeling. There is nothing more anxiety provoking than having an anxiety attack without knowing what caused it. Then ask yourself what you are fearing will happen in the moment and play out the worst case scenario in your head and how it might be handled. If you faint, you will collapse and then a few moments later the blood will come back to your brain you will wake up ( fainting is your body's way to get you to lie down real fast so that your brain gets the blood perfusion it needs). So, when you wake up you may feel relieved, embarrassed, worried etc but you won't be dead. Now the derealization feeling - this is very typical during an anxiety attack and nobody has ever died from it. You know that, right? You will not die from it nor is it a sign of insanity or pyschosis. The lightheadedness feeling - ask yourself if it is more likely happening as a result of hyperventilating or perhaps your sympathetic nervous system playing with your vestibular apparatus, rather than thinking something terrible is about to happen.

Yes, and the triggers can be that fleeting and simple.

I am good in a crisis. I could pull a person from a burning car but the doorbell can send me into a panic! Wtf????
