Anxiety over Neti pot I used

I have anxiety pretty bad during this pregnancy I’m freaking out over me using the Neti pot for my nasal issues I used tap water not knowing because I never used it before so I used the sink tap water but I also used the saline packet it came with an I mixed it in I’m freaked out because I read it causes a brain eating infection called amoeba I’m having non stop anxiety worry over this my dr said I need to not worry I’m fine I’m just freaking out about it I have my stomach is sick an messed up I can’t eat I have panic attacks over this anyone else use tap water by accident?

Hi yes I’ve used tap water many times in the neti pot before. I realized that was wrong recently. I think millions of people have done this. I’m not sure where that woman was living or how often she did that.

I read about that story too, don’t know why because am scared too. But u shouldn’t have nothing to worry about

I didn’t realize you couldn’t use tap water in a Neti until a year ago. I probably used tap water 20-30 times. I’m still here and kicking!! That amoeba was 1 in a billion!

Yes I've used it many times. Now I microwave it first. The amoeba your thinking of comes from stagnit lakes not drinking water. Your water should be fine. I pray your mind will be at ease in Jesus name. Amen.

You’ll be fine. My wife’s allergist suggested a neti pot to help with seasonal allergies.

Even the doctor uses tap water. 😀
