Feeling hopeful.

Today I met with a psychiatrist for the first time. Happy to say he seemed very confident that he can help my horrible anxiety Lol ..so we shall see. I'll be starting Zoloft this weekend so wish me luck 🙈

Good Luck Chellybean😊 It sounds like you have an excellent plan in place to deal with your anxiety. I have a hunch you’ll be feeling better soon and I’m sure just having your dr.s reassurance was helpful!

Good luck! Don't feel discouraged if the Zoloft doesn't work out, I started on that and switched to something else that helped me greatly (This is 2 years ago) I hope the zoloft works quickly for you though!

Thanks so much! I do hope it works good for me :) how is it going with your med?

Not much change, but I'm taking a very low dose to avoid making my dizziness worse. I'm going to up my dosage this weekend though.

How are you doing? Did you take the zoloft

Reply

Hey! Yes I did take it. I decided to do only 12.5 mg to start. Symptoms so far are a little extra anxious, jitters...dry mouth. But honestly i think im just extra anxious cause i know I took something. Lol. I don't feel too great but I havent felt too great for months now so its no change really

Can you describe your hopeful days?

Good for you Chellybean, it takes courage to get help and I hope your therapist is a good fit and helps you recover. Also, as someone who has worked with a number of therapists, if over time you don't feel like your therapist is helping you make progress, don't be afraid to fire them and work with one that is more appropriate. Most of us with anxiety disorder have difficulty standing up for ourselves and putting our best interests first.
