My husband and I are off on our honeymoon in 7 days and my anxiety is through the roof! Travelling from the UK to Jamaica, I actually don't mind flying and will most likely get through a box set or something in the 10 hours but there is just that part of my desperate to cause me panic and worry what could go wrong I'm only posting how I feel for some sort of a relief to vent. Makes me so frustrated cause I'm actually really excited but with major worry about things out of my control.
If anyone has been to Jamaica themselves or has any positive thoughts to throw my way that would be much appreciated xx

I have never been to Jamaica, but have a few positive thoughts for you. First congratulations! I was nervous about my honeymoon too. Not everything went as we had planned, but it was a wonderful experience. Some things are sadly out of our control...but the good thing is that you and your spouse will be there.
Congratulations on the marriage! I've been to Jamaica twice. Both times to Montego Bay. You will love it! Beautiful landscape, water and your with your husband. I'm in Michigan so it's two flights and only about a total of four hours flight time. It's natural to think about what could happen or stories you see on the news. My trick is to occupy myself with cards, movies, music or chatting with seat mates. I also visualize how awesome and fun I'm going to have when I get there. Just picture yourself on the beach or poolside with a drink (ask for a Bob Marley or a Miami Vice. Both frozen drinks and are very popular in Jamaica), no alarm clock or commute to deal with, no job, phone calls, texts, bills to deal with. Soak it all in and make some great memories. Have a blast!
