Freedom that God ordains

This post contains Christian views. Please read on if you would like to know my take on a verse from the book Jeremiah from the Bible regarding "captivity" and "freedom" which is God-ordained.

I have outlined my thoughts on the blogpost link given below.

I believe with each phase in life there are new blessings and also new challenges. So, if you are currently stuck in a rut of sadness and fear please do not worry. Seek medical help and kindly do stick to your healthcare regime. However also be on track with God. He will provide sufficient strength for this war and hold your hand to win every battle fought!

I, absolutely, love this post as well as the link! It came at just the right time. I have suffered with many physical symptoms over the past few years (lightheadedness, body shakes / tremors, foggy brain, nausea, digestive issues, constant muscle pain / soreness, etc.).

I have had several tests performed including: exercise stress test (2 years ago - results were good), MRI Scan of Brain (4 months ago - results were good), Upper GI Endoscopy (1 year ago - I do have Barret's Espohagus), Colonoscopy (5 months ago - results were good), Abdominal Ultrasound (7 months ago - overall results were good, but I do have a fatty liver), Complete Blood Workup including in-depth thyroid panel (18 months ago - results were good), EKG (3 months ago - results were good).

I mention all of this, because I still feel these physical symptoms each and every day without fail and it has caused me great discouragement. My doctor feels that it is all anxiety / panic / depression related. I find myself doubting that because of how bad I feel all the time, but as you can see.....none of the tests I have had performed show anything catastrophic. So.....I find myself struggling each and every day with no medical answer (other than the anxiety / panic / depression diagnosis). In your opinion, can anxiety / panic / depression cause my body to feel so ill physically?

I have faith. I repeat Becky Dvorak's Healing Creed every day. I read my men's daily devotional every day and I claim the Blood of Jesus over my and my family's life every day.............yet I am still suffering with all of the physical symptoms. Does God not want me to be well?

Hi,

Based on what you have shared I understand most of your medical reports are good/normal. Congrats on that. God has blessed you with good health. Let some of that anxiety go because clinically atleast your health is not bad. That should definitely help you feel relieved.

Regarding these anxiety symptoms I really do not know why these occur (I struggle as well at times). But I realise that asking "why" is tiring. Instead I now ask God "when" the healing will come. Jesus Himself said "Ask and it will be given to you...for anyone who asks receives." So hold on to God and pray for the healing. He will appoint a time of deliverance.

God is good. Even if bad things happen for a while, as per the verse quoted on my blog, God always will try to build a good and glorious future for us.

I think God wants you to find the answer to your health problems yourself and act on them. He never promised that everybody will be happy and trouble-free 24/7. We all have our cross to bear, who is without one?

We are presented with trials and ordeals: anxiety disorder is one of them. Through struggle we overcome the problems and emerge stronger and wiser. This, some would say, is our purpose.

I'm sure God wants you to be well but you're the one who's going to have to make it happen. Pray for guidance and strength by all means.

You've given us a very detailed list of your medical tests all of which indicate the problem is anxiety disorder. But you're in denial and find it hard to accept the diagnosis the doctors have given you.

To answer your question: yes, all those symptoms you list can most certainly be caused by health anxiety.

May I suggest you accept the verdict of your doctors and all those tests and begin to concentrate not on the symptoms of anxiety but the solution to your anxiety which by the grace of God will bring you recovery.
