Head rush/feeling of panic

I keep getting like what I can explain as a headrush that makes me feel out of breath. It happened the other day when I watched TV. And it’s just happened to me at work. I always feel like I’m going to have a seizure or something bad is going to happen. I can’t help but think it’s something other than anxiety. I know I have a lot going on at the moment but how can I feel like this when I’m sat watching TV?!

Hi 2sara1, it can happen even when you are relaxing watching TV because the subconscious mind is always replaying events of the day. It can take an unconscious thought, something you hear or see to trigger that panic response and the outcome is this rush through your head. It comes and goes quickly physically but the fear may stay with you for a while causing you to feel breathless.

Have you seen your doctor about this? Whenever something is new that you are experiencing or something that continues to happen, always best to check it out.

I'm going by what I had experienced over the years of severe anxiety. Breathe sara xx

I agree with Agora. I used to and sometimes still do get the headrush feeling. For me I noticed that I would get “excitable” and then in an instant it would feel like something horrible was about to happen. All of that was immediately followed by a head rush sensation. Like something washing over me. As fast as it came on it went. It would happen in the checkout at a store, walking around, and yes sitting on my couch. A lot of my suffering used to be amplified by the thought “I wasn’t doing, feeling or thinking of anything anxiety provoking so it can’t be anxiety!” After a lot of struggling, suffering, and support I realized how very wrong I was. Your subconscious mind is always running. So sensations can and sometimes do appear out of seemingly nowhere. Don’t stress about the details of why. Just float over it.

OMG! I just stumbled across this post and swear I could have written. I've been feeling the exact same way. Good to know we're not alone in this struggle.
