Is this tinnitus?

Has anyone ever had this problem where your ear goes blocked for a second (feels like you’re going deaf and only happens one ear at a time) then it’s a high pitch beep? I’ve asked a few of my friend and they said they never experienced this before. It’s been happening quite often today maybe had it twice now

I get this all the time it comes and goes, I think it might be due to rise and drop in pressure but not sure, I wouldn’t be worried, my friends have had it too :)

Thank you, that’s very reassuring. Do you ever get the muffle/slight deafness in ear followed by the high pitch? I hear people get high pitch on google but never the slight deafness like what if I’m going deaf I’m only 23!

Also I read your post about fear of dying I am completely the same it was almost like I was reading my own mind. Hope you’re doing ok

I had this awhile back for 5 days. Actually did think I was deaf because I scratched my ear with a bobby pin & went in too far and it hurt. After that I couldn't hear a thing, like when you get water in your ear.....plugged up. Went to a doctor & he said your ear drum is punctured. He gave me an antibiotic & drops & it was gone in 5 to 6 days.

I've had this for probably 50 years. I believe it is caused by pressure. Sometime from sinus sometimes from barometric pressure ( weather related ). Either way my sinuses are always affected. My hearing is perfect at 65 so I guess it's not medically related. The episodes can last from 10 seconds to a minute. Deafness then ringing for about 30 seconds. I've learned to live with it. I'm not saying it isn't annoying because it is. But our heads are so complex and I'm sure little ticks that happen are just reminding us how complex we really are.

Yes I’ve had it all my life as well but I think when I’m anxious I start to question things more and wonder why it happens and what it is. I look to doctor google for these answers and of course he always tells me a list of things that I “could” have, or I could go to my usual doctor but that would be a risk of him thinking I’m even more hypochondriac and not take me serious. So luckily I have support from this group who are so reassuring. Hope you’re doing well sir

Believe me if something's bad enough to warrant the doctor or hospital your body will let you know.

That type of things happens all the time! If it becomes more constant then I would go to a doctor, but just know that that type of thing happens to people and that you need not worry too much at this point. I have tinnitus and I am studying to be an audiologist. The ear is an intricate thing but also very well understood from what I can gather so far. I think you will be ok :)
