Worry about all animals all the time

Yeah, this is tough to deal with for sure. Other people think I am just big hearted but I know its more than that. Charles Darwin realized the incalculable amount of suffering of animals in the world, every minute of the day, ever since animals appeared on the earth. This caused him to question his Christian faith. Why was "survival of the fittest" the chosen method of God for species to develop and to advance?

Anyway, I am not Charles Darwin, I am Heartbreak. I think that all of this extreme worry about all animals is a symptom of a sort of a congenital sadness that I am aware of that I suffer from. This condition was developed in my childhood where I missed out on a sufficient amount of love and affection and security from my parents. I keep it suppressed most of the time, but things like animal suffering will stir up my deep seated sadness and I will feel much more sad for animals than the situation or the story warrants. My persistent sadness is always just below the surface...always straining to be released, and while outwardly I seem as though I have got it made, the animals know better. They know the real me inside.

How about you being active in an organization that helps animals? Sometimes the solution to worry is to do something about it.

Yes there are some who mistreat animals, most don’t and do there best to care for them.

Animals are gods creation, let god worry about them.

As it has been said before”see the birds of the air , they neither sow or harvest yet god still feeds them”.

Do no not worry about animals, most know how to look after themselves.

Wish your reply were true and glad you shared it. Anyone who eats meat, chicken, eggs, fish, seafood, would be appalled on the way they are farm/caged/killed to produce eggs, milk, meat and other food. The killing floors at slaughterhouses are not just young beef animals, but also horses which is considered a delicacy. We were given the brain and ability to share the earth with animals, creatures of the sea and winged birds, but our living habits are also destroying the very environments needed for their survival, And without them, human survival is at risk, The plight of honey bees is a prime example.

But, when it comes to anxiety, still believe to ease the anxiety and help all is to do something about it. Participate in saving wetlands, learning what can be done about global warming, and support how animals are raised in a clean unconfined manner.

My parents were dairy farmers so I know a bit about animals.

They were always well fed and watered and cared for when got sick. Animals are here to serve mans interest.

That does not mean we should mistreat them, yet realise there are 7 billion people on this earth and need to eat.

Sometimes we have to accept that not all things can b done without hurting animals.

Reality is man is the master of all things that creep and walk upon the earth.

Raised on a farm also, and learned early on that I don't need to eat meat or drink milk to have a healthy diet.

As appears we are approaching perhaps some religious beliefs, will not comment about whether animals purpose is to serve man, nor that reality that man is master of all things that creep and walk upon the earth.

One reality many times is we cannot even manage to master the art of decent, respectable treatment of other people.

Hi. I just found this site and I am so glad I did. I have suffered for years with this and after going to a Therapist I found out I have OCD, PTSD and Depression. This all stems from my childhood. Apparently the image of suffering animals was my way of "detaching" my own suffering to that of the suffering animals. I was hospitalized and went on medication for a while. Although it is better now I am always going to have this sensitivity towards animal suffering. Sometimes I would dream of how wonderful it would be to be in heaven where everything lived in harmony and love. My family support me but I know they think it is weird. there were many times when I would see people around me being happy and I would wonder why would anyone be happy in this world when there is so many evil things around. Anyways. I read a quote by someone that felt the same way. "Some bright lights are not meant for this dark and cruel world." All I can do now is just try to see beauty around me and not focus on the ugliness of human kind. Thanks for having this portal for us who need it.
