The title sums it up. Don't even drink decaf. I gave up and my heart palpitations have gone. I even done a light exercise session today. If youve got anxiety and/or heart palps then GIVE UP COFFEE.

I had to give it up as well. I had issues with heart palps and a rapid heartbeat. I had to quit drinking my beloved coffee, even decaf. It pains me...I love coffee and enjoyed relaxing and drinking it in the morning.

Haven’t had any issues since I got on medicine and cut out all caffeine.

My doctor also suggested stay anyway from tea.

Hi cardiologists told me not to have caffeine or fizzy drinks that contain it.so I switched to de-caff tea and my palpitations improved by 99% been caffeine free for 7 years.

Same here. I gradually introduced decaf coffee after I became stable on meds. I drink it slowly and only one per day. I handle it well. My palps come from hormone shifts and dehydration.

Does anyone else suffer from stomach cramps even after more than one instant coffee, despite being spread apart. Herbal teas too?

I use to very badly when I did caffeinated. Too stimulating.

Thanks for your reply. Just amazed it can apply to herbal teas and instant coffee. I can seem to have one instant coffee with whitener in the morning ok. Have given up on milk as I am having yogurt on cereal. Maybe since my loss of appetite nearly four weeks ago my stomach is just more sensitive

I’m sure. My stomach did a 360 when my anxiety decreased. No more GERD or swallowing issues.

Thank you. That is reassuring.

Figured out coffee was a trigger for me. Haven’t had coffee in a while, went to the bank and grabbed a cup during the wait. 30-45 min later all hell broke loose. A few days later I tried decaf to see if it was all coffee and decaf was bad for me too .But what helped me out was peppermint tea I chugged it down and bam it’s like all the pressure I felt was deflated. And it relaxes the heck out of me . Especially when I take it when I can’t sleep, swear I be floating on clouds
