I haven’t been here in a while.

I haven’t been here in a while but I’d like to take my time and say that after a few months of obsessive thoughts and a lot anxiety I no longer deal with anxiety and the nasty thoughts. Hope everyone has a good Christmas!

I’m glad you no longer suffer with anxiety?

Where you on medication to make it go away?

If not do you have any tips on how to get rid of it?

Merry Christmas x

What worked for me is realizing that it was all a cycle. Same thoughts and the same feelings everyday.

I stopped fearing my thoughts,I stoped paying attention to every little symptoms I had, and I stopped trying to be normal again. The thoughts were the hardest part of it, no matter what i did I couldn’t stop thinking about things! So I changed the way I reacted to them. We spend a lot of time over thinking things, paying attention to every symptom, and we beat our selfs up by thinking that we want to be normal again. We bring our selfs down by thinking we’re not normal, by hating the way we feel, and being afraid of the what if’s. When the obsessive thoughts come I simply don’t fear them I just accept them as thoughts and thoughts can’t harm me.

When panic try’s to over come I simply accept it as panic and remind my self of how many times I’ve felt the panic and nothing has ever happened. Depersonalization is a little harder because we have no control over that but I don’t fear it and it simply just goes away. Main key is to not fear.

Joser805, I read your other post and it was great to read about how much better you feel. I respect your ability to rethink what you used to know. Did you do this with help, meds, therapy, books? I'd love to hear more about your evolution. Indigo

I did a little bit of therapy which helped in a way but I manage anxiety with self talk. Read on some of the reply’s on this post. There’s one saying exactly what I did. No meds, no hardcore therapy, just self talk, and accepting the anxiety.

Indigojoe i was diagnosed with vertigo a few months ago and it’s hell! It causes a lot of anxiety because it feels as if I’m having a stroke but I manage the anxiety and my episodes aren’t as bad. All I do is think about all the times it’s happen and how nothing bad has happen.
