At work feeling soooo sick

I have less than three hours left but my anxiety/derealization/physical symptoms are going crazy. I just want to go home because im so afraid im going to faint. I ate a healthy lunch and ive been drinking lots of water so even though i feel like i will there's really know reason for me to pass out is there? I work in a mall and its crazy today with christmas coming. Im getting over a head cold so my ears or all stuffed up and that makes me even dizzier. I really dont want to lose this job :c this is what always happens. I get let go because i ask to go home early so much. Little do they know i literally think im dying and im much more inconvieninced by it than them lol.

Try to take some deep breaths. My mom always says, "breathe in your nose and count to 4, hold for 4 and breathe out of your mouth while counting to 4". If I do it enough it calms me down slightly. I think maybe from focusing on counting and breathing. Christmas sounds like a very hectic time to work in retail, I admire your ability to do so! A few more hours should go by quick, try to keep yourself busy :)

someone5673, I can understand since I worked the Mall during the Christmas season in Customer Service as well as selling lottery. It can get to be a bit overwhelming. When you get that feeling overcome you take that as a sign you need to slow down your breathing. With all that's going on around you, we can start to hyperventilate or shallow breathe causing that passing out feeling. Of course getting over a head cold and stuffed up ears is certainly contributing to the feeling. How about a cup of hot tea to make you feel better? Someday you will think back in working at the mall and miss those chaotic but happy times. :) xx

Hi Hidden ~ I hope you've managed to work out your shift hours in full, and proved to yourself that there is, indeed, no reason for you to faint, apart from unrealistic fears. You've eaten well and had a good intake of water, so NO, there is no reason for you to faint ❤️️

You have every opportunity to prove to yourself that if you can work through your fear, at the maddest, baddest (Christmas) time to be working in a Mall, even with clogged up ears and getting over a nasty head cold, that you can and will be able to work anywhere, without asking to leave early, and finally be able to hold down a job, and not let your fears dictate that once again, you'll be experiencing the 'self fulfilling prophecy' that "this is what always happens"..!

My thoughts are with you ~ I know you can work through these fears ~ it;s up to you now to prove to yourself that you can do it, and to start living a life of 'freedom'. 😊❤️️

Blessed be, with love, Barbara xx (Sending Christmas Greetings from Scotland, and wishing you a Wonderful and fear-free 2018 when it arrives!)

How did you get through your day Someone5673 ? Hope you are feeling better.
