Lump in throat sensation

Earlier today I ate some potato chips and ever since then I've had a sensation of a lump in my throat/chest. I can speak, breathe, drink, but I feel a tightness in my chest, and it feels worse when I'm swallowing saliva. It's been about 12 hrs since I had those chips. Since then I've eaten a banana, had some soup, and drank tea. The sensation WILL NOT go away. It feels like a literal lump sitting in my throat/chest. The tightness is also uncomfortable. I'm afraid that there is something stuck. It's 3 am and I'm laying here panicking unable to fall asleep in fear that I'll choke/suffocate in my sleep. I don't know what to do, I'm so scared!

I get that same feeling all day. Go to your doctor and have your thyroid checked out
